Oasis Penthouse Luxury Suite by Solea

Beautifully presented apartment in Sliema, close to restaurants, bars etc. but tucked-away enough to be private and quiet at night - noise was no issue. I particularly liked the larger balcony at the back of the flat - perfectly shaded during the height of the afternoon for when I was looking to escape the heat! Bert and team were incredibly helpful and responsive to any queries.

The apartment was great, very clean and in a great location. The only thing I would say is there needs to be clearer communication on the use of the hot tub. Instructions were to leave it on for a maximum of 2 hours, however, it takes almost 24 hours to actually heat up. The hot tub was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival we just weren’t able to use it.

The location made it easy and the check-in process was smooth, comfortable place, with nice view. The staff was friendly and helpful for directions. I would recommend. The apartment did not mert the expectations for the "luxury suite penthouse" description. The Wi-Fi was quite weak.

Great location in Silema area, not far from the Waterfront promenade with lots of eateries and the ferry to Valletta. The penthouse was spotless and loved the private patio out back with the hot tub. The hot tub does take a while to warm up, but it was lovely to use during the chilly evenings in December. Everything in the space is well stocked, more than I needed for my stay. A+++ Responsive host - quick to reply when I had any question and provided many great tips about the area.

Points positifs: L’appartement a été rénové et relativement bien dans l’ensemble. Elle est située à 15 min de marche du traversier pour La Valette. L’équipe qui s’occupe de l’appartement communique relativement rapidement avec nous. Points négatifs: L’appartement est situé en haut d’une côte très abrupte de 300 m environ, ce qui n’est pas évident pour se rendre à l’appart à tous les jours ( surtout avec les bagages ). L’autre point négatif, bien qu’il y ait un jacuzzi sur le balcon, malheureusement, nous n’avons pas pu nous en servir une seule fois car il prenait plusieurs heures à chaque fois pour se réchauffer de seulement quelques degrés.

Is really close to everything. Hot tube was not working, plus we had issues with one of the bathroom, the water was not flowing well.

Good place!

The apartment was spotlessly clean with a well laid out kitchen and living area. Bedroom was really comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The 2 showers worked perfectly. The hot tub was great to relax in after being out sightseeing and the host was prompt to reply to any queries or issues that arose. Overall a great place to stay for a holiday and we would recommend to both family and friends.

Top accommodatie met loopafstand tot het water. Veel lekkere restaurants in de buurt en erg toegankelijk wanneer er naar valletta of paceville gegaan moet worden. Verder is het appartement heerlijk ruim en is het lekker vertoeven in de hottub. Bert is verder een tophost die allerlei tips heeft gegeven voor allerlei activiteiten en restaurants in de buurt waar we zeker gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Allesomvattend is deze Airbnb zeker een aanrader!!

We had a great stay at Bert's penthouse. The place was spotlessly clean, with good amenities in the kitchen. The bedsheets and blankets smelled fresh from the laundry and the beds were very comfortable. We especially loved the hot tub on the terrace. Make sure you follow the instructions they provide, and it works just fine. The building is located in a quiet part of Sliema, which we appreciated, but it takes a bit to reach the touristic area (we didn't mind walking and also used Bolt to get around). I noticed there were some children's toys in the wardrobe, which I thought was a nice touch that families with kids would appreciate.

We stayed for 2 weeks and it felt like a home from home. The apartment itself looks just like it does in the photos- modern, clean and equipped with everything you may need. The bbq and hot tub on the terrace are a really nice addition. Bert provided lots of helpful info on local sites, services, restaurants, bars etc which we really appreciated. The apartment’s location is easy to get to and situated close to the beautiful promenade with lovely restaurants near by. We hired a car for the 2 weeks so that we could explore the island at our own pace which we thoroughly enjoyed. No problems finding parking space on the street where the apartment is. Thanks Bert for hosting us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Malta and will cherish the memories.

Great place to stay for access to all areas of malta. we used local butchers and shops and had bbq on our balcon! . Burt was very responsive and gave us some great information which was very kind. would highly recommend this suite.

Very Nice apartment but the spa was only 19 degrees

We stayed in this apartment for 4 weeks and we found it was adequate and lounge was quite comfortable. The kitchen area had all you needed etc. The only real problem was the bedroom and bathroom were really quite damp feeling, especially after it had rained, and the walls and ceiling gradually had dark mould appearing as the time went on. Also the bedding and our clothes felt damp all the time.

We had a lovely 1-week stay at Bert's place with our 1-year old baby. He prepared a baby cot and a high chair which is very thoughtful. His place is clean and as described. It's near restaurants, grocery (there is an asian shop as well for a variety of goods) and walking distance to the sea. There's lots of uphill walk in Malta so be prepared. The best thing about Bert is communication. He is very responsive and gives clear instructions. Also, he is willing to do an extra mile to help which I highly appreciate. I would definitely recommend his Airbnb to family and friends and the next time we visit I'd definitely book his place again! The Jacuzzi hot tub (needs 24hrs to warm up) and BBQ are bonuses on our stay which we enjoyed a lot. It's worth every penny and felt like home away from home.

Die Wohnung ist super gelegen. Zu Fuss ist die Fähre nach Valetta schnell zu erreichen. In der nähe hat es viele Einkaufsmöhlichkeiten sowie gute Restaurants und Bars. Die Küche ist mit allem Notwendigen Ausgestattet. Es ist sauber und der Gastgeber immer erreichbar. Auf Malta gibt es unzählige mögliche Aktivitäten. Wir hatten tolle Ferien. Danke .

A very nice apartment - located around 20 minutes' walk to the Valetta ferry stop. We were unable to use the hot tub as it appear to fuse (as warned) while trying to heat it. Communications and instructions were very helpful and clear.

Super convenient location for walking around Sliema and taking buses around the rest of the island. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby but very quiet at night. Clean and well appointed space with helpful and responsive host. Would recommend!

Schönes Apartment auf 2 Etagen (4+5 Etage,Aufzug vorhanden). Oben Schlafzimmer,Bad und kl.Balkon,unten Wohnküche ,Bad, gr.Balkon und kl.Balkon. Die Wendeltreppe ist sehr schmal,beide Etagen aber mit dem Aufzug im Flur zu erreichen,auf beiden Etagen ein Eingang (gut wegen des Gepäcks). Küche gut ausgestattet. Großer Balkon mit Whirlpool und Grill! Kleine Balkone mit kl.Tisch und 2 Stühlen. Sehr gut gelegen für Ausflüge und große Auswahl an Restaurants!Supermarkt in der Nähe. Bert hatte uns viele Tipps und Empfehlungen zusammengestellt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen! Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit die wir ,auch Dank des schönen Apartments,hatten!

Die Wohnung und unsere Zeit dort waren super. Es ist alles sehr durchdacht und gut organisiert. Man bekommt rechtzeitig alle Infos, bekommt sehr schnelle Antworten und bezüglich Ausstattung (auch mit Baby) war alles vorhanden. Wir haben die Frühstücke auf dem sonnigen kleinen Balkon und die Whirlpool-Abende (aufwärmen dauert) sehr genossen. Die Lage hat uns ebenfalls gefallen, es sind coole Cafés und gute Restaurants um die Ecke und Orte wie Valetta und St. Julian schnell zu erreichen. Wir geben ganz knapp nicht die 5 Sterne, da wir leider aber auch unglückliche Punkte dabei hatten. Der Whirlpool war bei unserer Ankunft schmutzig und musste am nächsten erstmal auf Anfrage gereinigt werden. Zwei mal hatten wir kurze Zeit kein Wasser, was aber schnell behoben wurde. Wir würden die Wohnung dennoch stark weiterempfehlen, da Bert und sein Service Team super nett und hilfsbereit waren. Die Probleme wurden schnell behoben und können in Zukunft ggf. Schon proaktiv gelöst werden.

Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Balkon lädt zum gemütlichen Frühstück mit Blick auf Valletta ein. Der Schlafbereich befindet sich im oberen Stockwerk, wo es auch ein zweites Bad gibt. Die Umgebung bietet Supermärkte und viele Bars und Restaurants. Wir hatten nie Probleme einen Parkplatz in der Nachbarschaft zu finden. Für ein verlängertes Wochenende zu zweit perfekt.

The apartment was spacious and good value compared to a hotel. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hanging space for clothes and hot water in the shower. Didn’t try using the kitchen or the jacuzzi. Very convenient location to the water front and the ferry to Valletta. Lots of good food and coffee nearby. It was also very quiet to sleep at night time. Some artwork or decorations and better lighting would help the apartment feel more homely.

Zuerst: Bert ist ein ausgezeichneter Gastgeber, sehr schnelle und zielführende Kommunikation. Danke dafür! Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, an Kleinigkeiten möchte ich nicht herummäkeln. Wichtig für ältere Menschen oder Menschen mit Einschränkungen: die Wendeltreppe ins Schlafzimmer ist sehr eng, das kann aber durch die Nutzung des Fahrstuhls problemlos vermieden werden (wenn das auch etwas seltsam erscheint :-)). Die Aussicht auf die Umgebung ist nach meinem persönlichen Eindruck maltaspezifisch, d.h. man blickt auf zum Teil unverputzte Hausfassaden und -dächer und ähnliches. Das muss einen nicht stören, kann aber etwas trist wirken. Die Lage der Wohnung ist gut, wenn man aber, wie schon erwähnt, mit Einschränkungen zu kämpfen hat, dann sei erwähnt, dass man ein paar Straßen mit erheblichen Steigungen zu bewältigen hat. Wenn das so ist, ist zu empfehlen sich der Bolt-App zu bedienen. Man kann sich dann meist schnell und oft recht günstig im Auto zur Wohnung begeben.

This apartment was a perfect location for visiting Malta! The neighborhood was a quiet residential street. It was a quick walk to the waterfront in Sliema and near restaurants and shops. There is also a great little grocery store within walking distance. The apartment looks just like the pictures. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal and clean up. My favorite spot was the large outside terrace! It had a nice view of the city and was the perfect place to relax with a cup of tea in the morning. I would highly recommend Bert's apartment and would stay here again if I return to Malta!

Bert’s apartment was exactly what we were looking for. It had everything we needed and more. In a great location that was walkable to lots of local places and transport. Would highly recommend.

Happy with our stay in the appartment, a very quite area, the appartment felt spacious for two and could easily host three. Two bathrooms and all essential kitchen supplies. Located in walking distance to most things and with all the tips from Bert it made the restaurant hunt abit easier! Really enjoyed the keybox/keycard checking, super smooth! We managed to find parking on the street or in the close neighbourhood everyday of our visit in may!

Bert’s place is amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. Across two floors you have so much space. The hot tub is a great bonus. I asked the lads if they were able to get some balloons and a banner for my girlfriends birthday which they did which was a great surprise when we got there as I wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to assist with that. Only issue I noticed was that the pillows had a funny smell to them. However, it’s really hard to fault a place that is so well put together and such good value for money. We had an amazing stay and would stay again if we return to Malta.

He was very kind and flexible when we requested a late check-out. Definitely coming back and highly recommend Bert’s place!

Both the space and Bert were fabulous. We felt just like locals with the amazing recommendations he sent to us even before arriving in Malta. The space was absolutely perfect and central for all of our needs.

The whole apartment was super clean and cosy, it was a true joy to stay there. The jacuzzi was so relaxing. It's also close to the ferry terminal to go to Valletta, which is great. Modern compact 1 bed apartment + 2nd pull out bed in living area. Situated in quiet residential district on 4th/5th floors of a small apartment block c10 minutes walk from sea promenade. The accommodation is well fitted out with all modern conveniences and utensils. Two compact but excellent shower/toilets. It is serviced by a very convenient lift. The internal spiral stairway is narrow and steep and may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. However, the external lift can be used for easier access to large bedroom + shower/toilet on 2nd floor. Large t/v screen in living area but no access to channels. We highly recommend this accommodation as we certainly enjoyed our 9 days there. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the verandas. Bert is attentive and helpful and responded quickly to our queries. Malta’s long and varied history makes it an interesting place to visit. It also very tourist friendly. The food was excellent. The weather in late March perfect.

Location was excellent for getting around Sliema and close to ferry to Valetta.

The host Bert was super communicative, making our trip stress-free. He were always quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had and also provided a lot of information for the area in general. The place itself was cozy and clean. It had a lovely design and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location in Sliema was also ideal..
