This place was a true gem! So well located in the cutest part of the island. Walking distance to a ton of options for food, cafes, drinks, convenience & good vibes! I loved my stay and recommended it to anyone visiting Malta!

Location was a superb! Church bells played a daily " symphony"...was great every morning just listen to it and meditat,particularly on Sunday. And communication with Solea was on 110% :-) Appartmen needs a little bit update...coffee/dining table,armchairs and some mould in the shower but it didn't stop us from having a fantastic time on Malta :-)

Beautiful flat with views over the church domes. Has everything we needed for our stay and the area was very quiet apart from the church bells which we didn't mind as they were only occasional. easy to get around using local busses and ferries and the history and buildings on Malta are exceptional. The flat was clean and comfortable and had a fully equipped studio kitchen, the ceilings are very high compared to the UK and made the space feel even more spacious. Information provided from the outset was useful and accurate and therefore I did not need to contact the host but I am sure they would have been available should you require them.

Fantastic flat. Beautifully put together, characterful and charming and it has everything you need in a great location. Watch out for the church bells at 7 am though ;-)

Die Unterkunft war einfach perfekt! :) Ich hatte eine wunderschöne Zeit, und bin mit der Kommunikation sehr zufrieden. Auch wenn wir uns leider nicht persönlich kennenlernen konnten, waren die Gastgeber stets erreichbar, hilfsbereit und haben mir sogar Wünsche erfüllt wie eine Yoga-Matte zu organisieren. Insgesamt war es wirklich ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt mit einer sehr schön eingerichteten Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Ich bin äußerst zufrieden und komme sehr gerne wieder 🥰 Vielen Dank!

we really enjoyed our stay here, the host were great with communication and made lots of recommendations for us and gave lots of tips before we arrived so we had a good idea of the place. the apartment itself was spotless and was a great space the church is next door but the bells never woke or bothered us at all and it was really nice to have it beside us. we would happily recommend and visit again sometime!

We really enjoyed our stay in this very cosy apartment. The location is excellent, close to the waterfront, with supermarkets, pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Communication with the host was impeccable, which made everything effortless. Highly recommended!

The apartment itself is perfect and its description could not be more accurate (photos as well). I encountered no issues with it - it had everything I needed and the space was filled with light. I was not bothered at all by the church bells (the noise insulation is excellent and the neighbourhood is quiet). Communication with the host was excellent and I am certain that if I had encountered any issues, they would have been dealt with immediately. I loved the church services next door - in the evening beautiful church singing filled the neighbourhood. I used the property to work remotely and the internet speed was outstanding. The property, however, was a mismatch for my physical abilities - it is two flights up the steep stairs and uphill from the Sliema promenade. I am vegetarian and had a hard time finding fresh and affordable produce in this area. The buses operated on the off-season schedule and they were generally packed. If your needs are different, you will enjoy this place.

첫 몰타 여행이 정말 좋았는데 여러가지 요소 중에 숙소도 한몫했다고 생각합니다 bert씨는 응답도 빨랐고 중간에 문제 해결도 정말 친절하고 젠틀하게 대처해주어 편안하게 지낼 수 있었습니다 교회의 종소리는 처음에 깜짝놀랄 수 있지만 이 나라의 문화라고 이해하다보면 금방 적응할 수 있습니다 조용하고 깨끗하고 침대도 푹신하고.. 기분좋게 머물다 갑니다😊

Schöne und sehr saubere Ferienwohnung in Sliema, die sowohl in Küche, Badezimmer, Wohn- und Schlafbereich alles erforderliche bietet. Die Ausstattung ist wie in der Beschreibung angegeben. Am Appartement besonders gefallen hat mir die kleine Loggia zum Sonnenaufgang. Sowohl der Check-In als auch die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber waren sehr einfach. Es gab nützliche Tipps zum Appartement sowie zur Umgebung (z.B. wo sich der nächstgelegene traditionelle (!) Bäcker befindet). Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig. Das Zentrum von Sliema erreicht man in ca. fünf Minuten. Ich buche gerne wieder.

Our stay at Bert’s apartment was great. We felt like home. The neighborhood is good to get around the city and to Valletta. Usually you can find a parking space nearby but note that the streets are narrow. Overall, I would definitely recommend to stay here.

Small but very pleasant. Nice light through the windows and very private. Comfortable, clean, well provisioned with basics, good host communication. A good bakery and small well stocked food shop nearby.

A great and homely place to stay in Sliema. Check in is easy and whole place felt very secure. A perfect place to stay to visit the entire Island and to explore Sliema and Valletta with the main city being a short ferry ride away. Plenty of places, restaurants and cafes to explore in Sliema too and with the apartment being situated a very short walk from The Strand it makes it a great place whatever your reason to visit is. Bert was a fantastic host too, being super responsive to any questions even before we arrived. He also gave us multiple recommendations for places to visit and things to do.

I had a near-perfect stay in this lovely Airbnb in Sliema. The apartment is perfect for one or two people staying for a few days or longer. The location is quiet and is in a nice neighbourhood with many traditional style houses and next to a lovely church. Don’t worry about the bells - I’m a light sleeper and wasn’t bothered in the slightest. A major plus is how close it is to the Valetta ferry terminal. Within a 5 minute walk you will be able to experience the iconic views of Valetta across the harbour.

Apartament czysty, posiada wszystko co potrzebne na kilkudniowy pobyt. Komfortowe miejsce, idealne dla pary. Dostępność ręczników, przyborów kuchennych. Spokojne i ciche miejsce. Duża lodówka z zamrażalnikiem. 4 palnikowa płyta kuchenna. Pralka z dostępnymi kapsułkami do prania. 2 klimatyzacje, obie zablokowane na 27-28 stopni, bez możliwości zmniejszenia temperatury.. Okap nie działał.

Le logement est excellent : très propre, bien équipé et parfaitement situé, ce qui rend tous les déplacements faciles et rapides. L’accueil a été impeccable et tout correspondait exactement à la description. Seul petit point à noter : le logement se trouve juste à côté d’une église, et les cloches sonnent assez fort. Cela peut surprendre au début, mais on s’y habitue rapidement. Dans l’ensemble, une très belle expérience et je recommande vivement ce logement !

We had such a lovely stay at Bert’s apartment. First of all, our flight was delayed and we arrived quite late - the checkin instructions were super clear and helpful and it made it very easy to get in and go straight to sleep. The place was spotless and comfortable, and very walkable to the water, cafes (the bagel place is great!) and restaurants. Everything felt new, clean and updated. As some have mentioned, there are bells from the church but we also didn’t mind them!

Good stay, no extra towels and declined to provide new towels when requested. Parking very difficult. Host was easy to get in touch with during the stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The space was super nice—clean, comfortable, and well set up for a relaxing visit. Traveling with our 5-month-old, we really appreciated having a crib, a washer/dryer in the unit—it made things so much easier. The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed, including a toaster, kettle for hot water, fridge, and freezer. The host was also very accommodating. The location is great too—close to the bus station and ferry which made it easy to get around. We were lucky to witness the Sqaqien event at the church nearby at our last night and experience the Maltese traditions. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous place, from entrance to actual apartment. Very clean, beautifully laid out and I was personally obsessed with the French doors (interior inspo). Very helpful host - I didn’t have a lot of queries myself but you could tell Bert was keen to support or lend a hand in any way. The area was so, so quiet - it was bliss. I personally LOVED the church bells - they felt so pure and beautiful especially for a city girl like me used to traffic noise outside my own apartment. Also, as an early bird, I appreciated them substituting for my alarm haha. All the best restaurants in Sliema - plus ferry, bus stops etc for tours - were all a stone’s throw away. I had a lot of fun walking down the different streets and using the beautiful doors as backdrops to my selfies (always careful not to photograph door numbers!). All in all, a great stay and would recommend it for friends if they’re ever in the area.

Enjoyed my stay in Malta and the apartment was only a few minutes walk from Sliema harbour which is well connected. Right bedside a beautiful church but if you’re a light sleeper the bells might wake in the morning. Bert and his team were always on hand to help and sent messages throughout the stay.

Apartments was lovely and clean. Very comfortable bed. Communication throughout the process was very good. The apartment is next to a church so bells do ring frequently. We got used to this after a day or so so Did not really bother us. Overall a good experience.

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit in der Unterkunft! Alles war genauso wie beschrieben – sauber, gemütlich und perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage war ideal, ruhig und dennoch zentral. Besonders toll war der herzliche Empfang und die gute Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber, der immer schnell auf Fragen reagiert hat. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and had a great experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the sea and close to everything in Sliema, yet the neighborhood is very calm and peaceful, which made it ideal for relaxing. The apartment was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Highly recommend!

Bert is an incredible host. He helped me out when 24h before checking in my previous booking was cancelled, going above and beyond to help me complete the new booking and giving me a early check in. The entire month I was here he was always very quick in helping when needed. The apartment is also very clean, has everything you need for short or longer stay, and the area is very quiet, great for walking, shopping and move around. There is a church right outside and you can hear the bells every 15 minutes but it wasn’t bothering, I actually found it relaxing. I would suggest this 100% to all my friends visiting Malta!

Der Aufenthalt in dem Apartment war sehr angenehm. Alles war sehr sauber und unkompliziert! Ein Kritikpunkt: Bei den Ausstattungsmerkmalen wurde angegeben, dass die Unterkunft über einen kostenlosen Parkplatz am Grundstück verfügt. Das stimmte jedoch nicht. Damit waren die öffentlichen Parkplätze entlang der Straße gemeint. Es war oft schwierig, einen in der unmittelbaren Nähe zu finden. Info für die Reise mit Kindern: Die Schlafzimmertür (zur Küche) lässt sich leider nicht gänzlich schließen und die Unterkunft verfügt über keinen Lift (sehr enges Stiegenhaus).

Wij hadden een heel aangenaam verblijf! Het is zoals op de foto's en was heel netjes. De locatie is heel goed, je wandelt makkelijk naar de haven waar er veel restaurants zijn. Parkeerplaats hebben we altijd gevonden vlakbij het appartement maar ik weet niet of dat in het hoogseizoen ook zo vlot gaat. Onze luide buur (de kerktoren) luidde een eerste keer om 6u45 en vervolgens weer om 8u, daar moet je wel rekening mee houden en is persoonlijk of je daar last van hebt. Ook wordt het best licht in de slaapkamer, wij vonden dat niet zo erg maar is waarschijnlijk niet voor iedereen weggelegd. Het appartement was verder voorzien van alle gemakken, niets op aan te merken! De airco kwam goed van pas! Ik raad het appartement zeker aan.

Wir waren eine Woche in der Wohnung, alles hat wunderbar funktioniert. Wir waren sehr dankbar für die Klimaanlage. Vor allem die Matratzen sind sehr komfortabel und haben gut. Sliema ist eine sehr schöne, ruhige und gepflegte Gegend. Gute Busanbindung!!

We had a great stay at Bert’s place. Apartment was clean & tidy with everything you’d need for a few nights stay. Only comment would be we found the church bells to be quite loud and woke up each morning at 6.45 when they rang & occasionally the street noise would travel up to the apartment. Perhaps we are light sleepers though. Aside from that it was a lovely experience and would definitely head back

We absolutely loved the apartment! It's a total dream and we could have stayed there forever! Thanks to all the information provided it was very easy to find the place and get inside. It's a beautiful house and the appartment is even better in real life than on the photos! It has anything you might need and we felt right at home. You also have a really cool view of the church next door but don't worry about the bells, you can barely hear them. The location is also perfect since you get to the city center and to the water front in just a few minutes. There are really good restaurants in the area and many shops and supermarkets. Bert also provides a lot of information about the closer surroundings up to the whole island which is very helpful. We would definitely recommend the place and would love to come back one day! :-)

We've had a really nice stay in this lovely apartment. The place was as described and it had everything you need. It is well communicated with Valletta and other parts of Malta. It takes a short walk to get to the stores. The area is very peaceful. We've heard the noisy neighbour mentioned in previous comments, but it was just once and not much of a problem. The architecture and the views are one of a kind. It was definitely a unique experience to stay in a place with traditional gallarija balcony and feel the local Maltese atmosphere.

Wir haben uns hier wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment bietet ausreichend Platz für zwei Personen, ist sehr charmant mit den hohen Decken, sehr sauber/gepflegt und mit einem äußerst komfortablen Bett, großem Kleiderschrank, Bad mit Fenster, alles was man benötigt. Sehr gut gelegen, man erreicht alles wichtige (Lidl Supermarkt, Fähre nach Valletta, Ausflugsboote, Promenade, Mall, Restaurants & Cafés) innerhalb kurzer Laufentfernung. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder übernachten und können das Apartment ohne Zweifel weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalten in der Unterkunft von Bert. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, hatte alles was man für seinen Aufenthalt benötigt, liegt relativ zentral in Sliema, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, etc. sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen! Neben der Unterkunft ist eine Kirche die ein sehr blechernes Glockenläuten hat. Wenn man einen leichten schlaf hat, könnte es sein, dass man von dem halbstündlichen läuten immer wieder wach wird. Wir haben unsere Ausflüge mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gemacht und waren sehr froh nicht in den vielen schmalen Einbahnstraßen fahren oder parken zu müssen. Hier können wir die „tallinja card explore“ für „unlimited travel - 7 days“ sehr empfehlen! Die Kommunikation mit Bert verlief stets ohne Probleme. Selbst ein spontanes späteres auschecken war kein Problem und wurde schnell geklärt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

+: Die Wohnung entsprach exakt den Abbildungen auf den Fotos, war sauber bei unserer Ankunft, der Checkin problemlos zu jeder Zeit durch eine Schlüsselbox möglich. Restaurants und Bushaltestelle in ca. 10 Minuten fußläufiger Entfernung. Wohnung liegt aber auf einem Hügel, es geht vom Meer aus stetig bergauf, dann noch in die 2. Etage ohne Aufzug. War aber alles gut machbar. -: Das Ganze wirkte auf mich recht unpersönlich, eher wie über eine Agentur organisiert. Mehrere Standardmails im Vorfeld und während des Aufenthaltes, nach meiner Abreise kam ein "Putzteam" zum Säubern, wenig persönlicher Kontakt. Ich nahm das Angebot an, dass man mir ein Taxi zum Flughafen vermitteln wollte. Ich bekam daraufhin eine Telefonnummer, die ich selbst kontaktieren sollte, um das Taxi zu organisieren. Nachdem ich über diese Nummer eine Absage bekam, erhielt ich auf meine Rückfrage von Bert keine weitere Rückmeldung oder Hilfe mehr - schade! Trotzdem: würde ich nochmal hier übernachten wollen? Ja!

Overall great stay and location is easy to get to all areas in Malta. Bert was easy to communicate. There is grumpy guy that lives nearby sometimes makes noise at night. But no big deal. The area is generally quiet and peaceful. The bakery nearby is awesome! a must go to get baked goods and fresh bread. Restaurants to choose from are very good and friendly staff. We had a fabulous stay. Will hope to be back soon.

L’appartement était très propre à l’arrivée. Nous avons pu rentrer dans le logement facilement. La vue est à couper le souffle. Nous avons trouvé tout le nécessaire pour passer quelques jours (notamment les petits sachets d’huile d’olive, très pratique !). La machine à laver est un vrai plus, le linge sèche très vite en ces chaudes journées ! Les deux climatisations (chambre et salon) étaient vraiment appréciables. Merci pour ce séjour !

Lovely air BnB a short walk to the water and restaurants. The space was used well and didn’t feel too small. We read from other reviews that there was a drunk man who yells, and we also saw this man and heard him a few times but he didn’t affect our stay there thankfully (maybe one or two midnight outbursts). Bert was very gracious to give us a later check out time and overall I think it’s a good place to stay in sliema if your fine with the walk. Bed was a bit springy and I have a bad back, but no other complaints! Could be fine for others 😊

Appartamento molto centrale e permette di raggiungere qualsiasi posto in poco tempo. Alloggio pulito e molto carino. Unico “problema” è che accanto all’appartamento c’è un “vicino” che è quasi sempre ubriaco e potrebbe dare fastidio. Per il resto tutto perfetto☺️

Soggiorno molto piacevole, alloggio pulito ed esteticamente elegante, con alcuni dettagli davvero belli. Host reattivo e chiaro nelle istruzioni, check-in facile e rapido. Tutto alla grande; l’unico lato negativo, non legato all’host o all’appartamento, è legato alla presenza di un ubriacone sotto casa. Assolutamente consigliato.

First time traveling in Malta! We had a great time staying at this BnB. Everything is accurate on the description. Be prepared to spend a few laps searching for parking in the area if you arrive during busy times of the day. The host is very quick to reply when asking questions. Highly recommended👍🏼

Bert é bem atencioso, responde rapidamente a qualquer questionamento ou possíveis problemas que possam acontecer. apartamento possuía todas as comodidades anunciadas. Ao lado da igreja e de 5 a 10 minutos de caminhada você estará na orla onde possui vários bares, restaurantes e cafeterias.

Bert’s apartment is exactly like the pictures. It’s perfect for 2 people and the bed is quite big. The location is ideal and the view of the church next door is super nice. Bert is very friendly and stayed in touch with us the whole time. The self check-in is easy and convenient. Nothing to worry about! My suggestion would be to keep basic supplies in the apartment, like salt and paper, hand soap, dish soap, olive oil, etc.

Le séjour dans l'appartement s'est bien déroulé, l'appartement était conforme à la description. J'ajouterais cependant pour les personnes qui dorment dans le noir complet de se procurer un masque. Il y a eu un homme ivre qui criait de bon matin, quelqu'un du coin certainement, mais c'était une seule fois. Les cloches ne nous ont pas dérangés, pour notre part. Il ne faisait pas froid à proprement parler en ce début mars mais j'avoue aimer dormir au chaud dans une chambre fraîche, peut-être le loueur peut-il laisser une couverture supplémentaire à disposition pour les "frileux" comme nous ? L'hôte, professionnel, est très réactif en revanche donc ça n'a pas été un problème réel. Le seul "bémol" s'il en faut était que nous nous attendions à trouver sur place de quoi cuisiner-dépanner(huile, sel, poivre, sucre) mais il ne restait rien des passages précédents. Pr avoir loué plusieurs logements via Airbnb, nous trouvons pourtant que ce système dépanne et rend le lieu vivant. Rien de grave.

Nice flat in a good location next to a beautiful church and bars/shops. The flat was as described and we had a good stay. Catching a bus or ferry to another city was really easy from the flat. There was plenty of space for 2 people, shower was very good with hot water and we were provided with kitchen equipment so we could prepare our own food. Tea/coffee was not provided but there are plenty of supermarkets near by to pick up items you need. There is however a gentleman who lives next door who every night continuously drinks and shouts to himself until about midnight. We had no issues with him and he didn’t approach us but this could be very intimidating to a lone female traveler. Bert offered some good recommendations for places to eat and was super quick to rectify any issues we had. We opted for the posh Turkish kebab house recommendation which was delicious.

The view on the church makes the apartment feel like it is isolated, and it is a good thing if you think it is positioned in the heart of Sliema, a city rushing with tourists and nightlife. All that we needed was at hand, and more: kitchen tools, a nice smart-tv and even a washing machine. Recommended for sure!

Bert’s place was exactly as listed, super clean and had all that was necessary. He was quick to respond to any questions I had. Whilst this is not a factor within Bert’s control, there was a drunk man next door who made me feel quite uncomfortable when leaving/entering the property. Possibly a neighbour, as we realised he was sitting outside most days. There are nearby bays for swimming, plenty of restaurants to choose from and accessible transport links within a 7 minute walk. Overall, wonderful host and a wonderful stay!

Very nice place with beautiful interiors - feels like a home away from home! The location is great too, not far from the seaside and the ferry terminal to go to Valletta.

Newly furnished apartment in a very quiet location halfway between St Julian's and Valletta. Both are easily reached with buses (also on foot for St Julian's).

our stay in Bert 's apartment was Just a Dream!!! everything was perfect. the house is really beutifull and you have everything you need and More!! Bert also let us leave the suitcases before check in and we go for Lunch.

Appartement neuf, propre et décoré avec goût. Situé à 5-10 minutes du centre, l’appartement est très bien situé. Il offre une vue sur une magnifique église que nous avons eu plaisir à contempler lors du petit déjeuner. Nous avons été accueillis comme des rois et notre hôte s’est montré arrangeant et compréhensif, nous recommandons !

Great apartment and excellent location!

Foi uma estadia incrível, das melhores que já tive. Bert foi incansável, super prestável e até com uma multa de estacionamento nos tentou ajudar. O apartamento é super mimoso, foi como se estivéssemos em casa. O quarto é amplo, tem um armário enorme, a cama espaçosa, confortável e com imensas almofadas (coisa que eu adoro). Existe AC em toda a casa, que funciona lindamente e a cozinha está equipada com tudo o que é necessário. Obrigada!!

Die Unterkunft von Paulina und Bert ist super schön und sehr gemütlich. Die Lage ist top. Zentral aber doch ruhig gelegen. In der Wohnung war alles was wir brauchten. Bei Fragen haben wir sofort eine Antwort bekommen. Vielen Dank für alles.
