Maltese Apartment 1 w/traditional Balcony

A great location very quiet and a very clean place, we arrived early and they welcomed us without any issues so it is much appreciated, some coffee and tea, everything necessary to cook (we only made breakfast) We will come back as it is one of the best rental we had recently! Many thanks Cleaning fees are a bit high but i guess it is part of what booking takes otherwise nothing!

Innanzitutto pulizia , è il più pulito che abbiam trovato Poi c è tutto il necessario Inoltre ha uno stile un po più ricercato degli altri e sinceramente ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Bellissima la veranda Tutto molto curato e le procedure di ingresso sono state velocissime Inoltre l host è stato reattivo e con un piccolo surplus ci ha permesso di stare un po’ più a lungo del dovuto avendo il volo di rientro nel tardo pomeriggio Insomma tutto perfetto, se torneremo a Malta sicuramente cercherò di tornare

Beautiful apartment for two, roomy and comfortable bedroom, super organized and squeaky clean, and the little balcony which is a special design motive of Maltese architecture is perfect for coffee and meals. The building is lovely, well situated on a street named Church, the apartment is right next to a church. Going to the water front is a five minute walk downhill, from there you can catch your buses to Rabat (best pastizzi) and Mdina, taxis to the airport and everywhere else, or ferries to Valletta, the 3 cities, and Gozo. In other words, the apartment is very well located. Our host is the very definition of a super host, quick responses, detailed and clear instructions, good recommendations, and hospital as a good host is. My husband and I stayed a week and enjoyed every minute of it. I’m sure you would too. Have fun in Malta, and don’t forget to try the little boat !! Wir haben immer einen kostenfreien Parkplatz in der Straße oder Nähe gefunden. Die Kommunikation mit Bert war super: hilfreiche Tipps, Adressen und flexibler Check-Out. Mijn dochter en ik hebben genoten van Sliema en overig Malta. Het appartement was heel prettig ingericht en goed verzorgd. Bert stond altijd klaar, reageerde snel en kwam met oplossingen zowel in de reserveringsperiode als tijdens het verblijf. Bedankt voor alles!

This perfect apartment in the middle of Sliema gives the best Maltese experience you can get. With the beautiful typical Maltees architecture. The ferry to Valetta and boulevard is at walking distance which is a big plus.

Wir waren Offsaison in Malta und haben uns sofort in der Unterkunft von Bert wohlgefühlt. Alles wie vorab beschrieben, keine Überraschungen, alles gut geplant und informiert. Der von vielen Vormietern bemängelte Lärm war überhaupt nicht wahrzunehmen und auch kein störender Nachbar der auf sich aufmerksam macht. Ganz im Gegenteil haben wir die ruhige Lage der Wohnung sehr genossen und entspannt empfunden. Sehr vorteilhaft und gerade am Beginn waren die Empfehlungen von Bert sehr hilfreich. Besonders die kleine süsses Bäckerei war empfehlenswert. Insgesamt haben wir uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt, nichts vermisst und die Tage dort genossen. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

We had a lovely few days at Bert’s ArBnB. The flat was very clean and spacious.

Bert's apartment matches the photos. The apartment is in the city center, but it was completely quiet both day and night. We could always park our car close to the building, even though the streets are narrow, so be prepared to practice your parking skills while driving. All the check-in instructions and Bert's recommendations for our stay were very helpful. Thanx for your hospitality))) definitely recommend it !

Nice and well equipped apartment with two air conditioners in a quiet area. The street around the corner was under construction which made the access to the apartment a little inconvenient.

Great location. Great instructions from the owner. Clean and very comfortable with extras for use in the kitchen. Lots of advice from the owner re eating out, places to visit etc Would definitely stay again. We were here for one week for a wedding and accommodation suited us perfectly. The location of the property was perfect. It had everything we needed for our 4 days stay. It was clean and of a very good standard. Bed was comfortable. The only thing was the church bells which were a little random. They would go off at 6.45pm for about 15mins and again at 6.45am (but for a shorter amount of time). They would then ring again at 8am. You did get used to them however.

We had a beautiful stay at this Airbnb. It is very central and Sliema is right outside of the doorstep. The ferries and harbour are close-by so Valletta can also be easily accessed by walking. The Airbnb has a nice ambience and was very clean. Communication was smooth and informative at times maybe a bit too much of information regarding rules and other things to consider. Lastly, we specifically chose this Airbnb for its advertised parking spot on premise, however there is actually no parking spot and one has to look in the streets close-by. Unfortunately, we also didn’t have the views as shown in the pictures as there are several apartments in the same house. We can nonetheless recommend this Airbnb and look forward to visiting Malta again.

The apartment looked exactly like in the photos, and it is well equipped. I'd say the space is good for 2 people max; it'd be crowded for more than 2 people. Everything was nice, but I'd suggest chaning the shower head... The location is quite nice as it's close to the Sliema ferry and supermarkets. It's right next to a church, but the church bells weren't really the issue. During our stay, there were roadworks right on our street (meaning access by car blocked). They started from 8am and sometimes continued until 8pm. The noises were very disturbing. We encountered a problem with water on one evening due to the works. (It was back to normal the next morning.) Bert is an responsive host and gave us a lot of useful information.

The place was in perfect condition and had everything we needed! Bert was very helpful and responsive.

Sliema was a great place to stay. This place was perfect stay for us to get around to The Strand and Sliema port. This place had everything we needed into our four week travel journey. Great bedroom with pillows and sheets. Well stocked kitchen. Iron with board. Great shower temperature, pressure, and nozzle. Fair bit of road construction going on in the area so be mindful when booking apps for rides. Sleeping in wasn’t an option without earplugs as the construction starts early in the morning and is loud. I’m glad there are upgrades happening for the future. I will definitely stay here my next visit to Malta

Tip top inorde appartement. Zeer fijn gelegen in een rustige maar tegelijk veel te beleven stad. Super duidelijke en heldere instructies gekregen van Bert, alles was aanwezig zoals beschreven. Zeker en vast een aanrader!

Great apartment with anything you need. There is nothing I wont more from holiday accomodation! The only thing is the church next door... the host has no control over it. If you want to sleep in and you are light sleeper then it may be annoyin, as the bells ring couple times a day. BUT if you ok with going back to sleep after couple of bells, then there is no issue with the location :)

Remek elhelyezkedésű lakás, ragyogóan tiszta, mindennel felszerelt, amire az embernek szüksége lehet egy ott töltött rövid időszakra. Csendes, biztonságos, rendkívül kényelmes lakás. Külön jó érzés volt, hogy a templom mellett helyezkedik el, ad egy plusz biztonságot és békeérzést az embernek. A harangszó egyàltalàn nem zavaró. Aki kíváncsi: érdemes reggel 8-10 közt beülni reggeli misére, igazán megadja a napkezdő hangulatot az embernek. Szóval köszönöm! Ha mèg erre járok, biztosan ezt a lakást választom újra!

Had a great stay in Sliema for 8 nights, the apartment was perfect and just as seen on photos. It was walking distance to lovely areas around on the coast, for food and to the ferries to Valetta, Gozo etc. Everything was clean and the apartment felt spacious for 2 people. We stayed during religious celebrations which added to nice atmosphere around the area in the evenings. Bert was very helpful and responsive. Definitely would recommend!

省流：重郭仁筷刨，shei珠shei沙波一～ 房源本身不错，有强力的空调，洗衣机，完备的厨房和餐厨具，冰箱，欢迎小零食和水，咖啡机，airplay的电视。但剩下的部分比较糟糕！1. 窗景不复存在，窗外是手脚架和离你不到五米的建筑工人，私密性严重不足；2. 噪音巨大，建筑噪音和工人交谈声以90%的程度传到躺在床上的你的耳朵里；3. 酗酒邻居不是个例，而是房源的一部分，你将在入住须知里看到他（入住当天才能看到），房东能做的只有当你听到噪音或者感到危险时帮你报警，安全性严重不足；4. 浴室的水压很小，像小溪流，但它所带的泥沙仍旧把我的过滤花洒从白色变成了土黄色，且淋浴间地板有明显的霉菌，淋雨卫生条件极差；5. 床上的毛巾是脏的，有黄色的污渍，我反正不敢用！

Das Apartment war wirklich sehr schön und gut gepflegt/sauber als wir ankamen - wie auf den Bildern von Bert gezeigt. Die Lage war zudem gut als Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen und Bert hat immer sehr schnell auf Nachrichten geantwortet.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung von Bert. Check In funktionierte einfach und problemlos. Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet, perfekt für 2 Personen. Die Lage war wirklich super, in ca 10-15 min ist der Strand oder Hafen zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist ringhörig, daher für Menschen mit einem leichten Schlaf eher nicht geeignet. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen

Situated out of the tourist centre but only 3 minutes down the road it was nice to experience a local neighbourhood and the little balcony in the picture is a lovely spot to sit and soak up the atmosphere. Comfortable and modern fittings in a period building

It was of the best Airbnbs I have stayed and definitely will be my first choice when I arrive to Malta next time. Hert was a great host, he responded quickly, recommend many places for us to visit and eat. The place was easy to find and clean.

Bert's property is just as advertised. If anything, the pictures don't do it justice! Would absolutely recommend this wonderful apartment if you're looking for a peaceful city-break.

Praktisch gezien was alles zeer goed geregeld. Een zeer vlotte in- en uitcheck. Het verblijf bevindt zich op wandelafstand van de ferry naar Valletta. Het is een fijne buurt, maar zowel de kerk als duiven zorgen wel voor wat nachtelijk lawaai.

Die Wohnung ist für mich aufgrund ihrer architektonischen Gestaltung schon einzigartig. Ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt, was auch an der Nähe zur Kirche, der Lage, Ruhe, aber auch an der Atmosphäre lag. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich und man hat alles, was man benötigt. Auch Bert war ein freundlicher Gastgeber. Wenn man ein Problem hatte, konnte man sich an ihn wenden. Man hat sich nach einer kurzen Zeit schon heimisch gefühlt, wodurch mir die Wohnung sehr positiv in Erinnerung bleibt.

This was our first time visiting Malta and we are so happy that we got to stay in Bert's accommodation. The apartment is located right next to a church which can be seen from the bedroom and living room. This means there are often church bells ringing at close proximety, which was lovely to wake up in the morning, and is an intrinsic part of Maltese culture. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed for simple receipes. Bert was very responsive and gave us lots of great recommendations that made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. Our only gripe was that the water pressure in the shower was quite low when using the hot water (likely only a necessity on cooler winter nights), and the pressure and temperature both dropped when using the tap in kitchen sink at the same time. A very small issue for a very beautiful apartment, fantastic location and lovely host. Top tip... The beach club 'Manta' does 2-4-1 cocktails from 3pm-7pm EVERYDAY! Thank you, Bert!

Sehr nette und schnelle Kommunikation mit Bert und seinen Kovermietern. Wohnung liegt gut, in der Straße haben wir stets einen Parkplatz gefunden. In 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß ist man direkt im Hafen und der Promenade. Die Küche der Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was wir gebraucht haben. Einziges Manko aus unserer Sicht, dass es Schimmel im Bad und an der Bad-Decke gab. Sliema als Ausgangspunkt für ein Aufenthalt auf Malta ist ebenfalls empfehlenswert. Man kann gut mit dem Auto, dem Bus oder auch mit der Fähre Malta erkunden.

Apartment was compact but, for 2 it was fine, clean, comfy bed, sunny bay window and great location. Uber from the airport was 12 Eu each way, the apartment is in a traditional Maltese townhouse in the old part of Sliema further back from the highrise but, less than 10 minutes walk to the sea front - where you will find the ferries to Valetta (a must and ventured there every day for dinner and only 5 minutes trip), ferries to Gozo and also all buses go through here. There is a town for shopping and also some restaurants on the sea front. We took the bus to St Julian and St Paul and I would say Sliema is less busy. We visited the Aquarium, Mdina (Silent City), Marsaxlokk fishing village where we took a traditional brightly coloured Luzzu boat around the bays, was a little hairy in places, but safe and great fun! Once in Valletta you can walk to the other side and take a Luzzu to the 3 cities tour or just dropped off to wander, we visited the museum and enjoyed the Maltese food.

A lovely apartment situated on a quiet street behind a beautiful church. The apartment is perfect for two and is well equipped. It’s only a few minutes walk to the coast/ferry to Valletta. Bert sent loads of really helpful recommendations prior to our stay and the check in process was easy. The only downside is the water pressure in the bathroom (both shower and toilet).

해변과 가까워서 좋았어요. 그리고 교회의 종소리 때문에 누군가는 시끄럽다고 생각했지만 우리는 오히려 좋았어요. 너무 늦지 않게 일어날 수 있게 해주고 교회 뷰가 너무 좋았습니다. 화장실, 거실, 침실, 발코니 모두 깨끗하고 아늑했어요. 항상 신속하게 응답하고, 몰타에서 우리가 잘 지낼 수 있도록 여러가지 액티비티와 레스토랑을 추천해줘서 좋았어요. 중간에 정전된 적이 있었는데 신속하게 응답하고 해결해 줘서 고마워요. 쓰레기 버리는 것도 어렵지 않았고, 모든 편의기계가 집 안에 있었기 때문에 한 달동안 머물고 싶었어요. 리뷰에 종종 보이는 어떤 불편한 이웃에 대해 안내를 받았지만 한 번도 보지 못했습니다. 햇볕이 잘 들어서 아침마다 상쾌하고 기분 좋았어요. 빛이 잘 들고, 시원한 바람이 불어서 기분이 좋았어요. TV에서 여러가지 것들을 볼 수 있었고, 침실은 폭신해서 깊이 잘 수 있었어요. 전체적으로 깔끔하고, 친절한 응대에 감탄했어요. 다음에도 또 머물고 싶습니다.

The best airbnb we have stayed in, with the best hosts! Apartment was modern, a 2 minute walk to the harbour (with transport connections to all over Malta) and a comfy bed! Bert gave us sooo much information on Malta, from where to eat, where the closest groceries where and how the transport systems work. We didn’t need to google a single thing while we were there. 5 stars!

Parkplätze in der näheren Umgebung waren eigentlich immer zu finden. Der Check in Vorgang lief unkompliziert und reibungslos. ich kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen, der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich, antwortet schnell und ist hilfsbereit, vor allem die Lage ist super weil man von hier aus die ganze Insel erkunden kann.

Nice and calm place. Close to the ferry bringing you to Valetta. Stores nearby are a bit expensive, but they are open 24h. Earplugs will be useful if you're going to take a nap during the day because of the church bells and the neighbor's TV. The AC is working well.

En marge de l’action de La Valette mais très bien desservi par le système de transport (au prix d’une petite marche), l’appartement de Bert nous a offert un endroit calme où poser bagage pendant notre séjour à Malte. Facile à trouver, dans un quartier calme et bien équipé, la vue sur l’église est magnifique et bien que petit, l’appartement ne manque de rien.

El apartamento es muy acogedor y simple pero tenía todo lo que necesitaba.

Es war ein toller erholsamer Aufenthalt. Alles war so wie beschrieben, hat funktioniert und auf den Fotos zu sehen. Es liegt in einer echt tollen und ruhigen Lage (nur die Kirchenglocken nebenan, könnten eventuell manche stören, die es nicht gewohnt sind). Bert war immer gut erreichbar und hat sich auch erkundigt, ob alles passt und Tipps gegeben. Alles war sauber und ordentlich - lediglich die Couch bräuchte einen neuen Überzug. Und das schon von mehreren genannte Brotmesser wäre schön wenn es ergänzt wird. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt mehr als empfehlen und würde es sofort wieder buchen.

Cozy and quiet appartment equiped with anything that is needed close to public transport and good restaurants. Bert was very helpful and proactive to have a good stay in his appartment and Malta. Would recommend it and stay there again myself.

The apartment is in a very good location, 5 minutes walk and we can arrive the bus station of Slieme and the high street. We love the balcony that we can enjoy the sunshine even morning. But one thing needs to be noticed that the church bell rings every fifteen minutes though it won’t affect our sleep. Bert is also a nice host, he sent a lot of tips about living and travelling. We enjoy our time in Malta and in this airbnb.

Bert was amazingly helpful and quick to respond to requests. The apartment was pristine and within easy reach of all amenities and the Valletta ferries. We preferred the location in Sliema rather than Valletta as it was quieter and surrounding streets, just as engaging. The apartment was pristine and comfortable with a large bedroom (surprisingly not evident from the photographs). If you hire a car it's a bit of a lottery to get parked outside the property but we managed it 4 out of 5 evenings. Highly recommend this property. Only one point of action - the apartment needs a breadknife to get through the amazing Maltese bread! (available fresh from the nearby bakery)

we had a great time at the property. Check-in was super easy and was explained perfectly. the apartment was super nice, with a typical Maltese "balcony". Parking spaces directly next to the property are sometimes difficult to find, but we always found a space in the parking garage next to the Welbees supermarket. Bert also gave us some tips for places to visit. Thank you Bert for the great stay.

We loved staying at Bert’s apartment. It was so charming, and was in a great location within walking distance to the waterfront, ferries, buses, etc. The apartment was well stocked with cooking equipment, it was clean and quiet, and Bert was very responsive to questions and provided local recommendations.

시내까지 걸어서 꽤 거리가 있음 집 주변에 술취한 사람이 있어서 밤새 소리지름 수압이 약함 그 외적으로는 전반적으로 괜찮음 깨끗하고 깔끔함

Bert provided a lot of instructions and tips on what to do before and during the stay. The apartment was located a bit out of the commercial area which makes it a nice quiet neighbourhood to walk around. The unit was clean and finding a space to park is not too difficult but you must be prepared to park in a narrow road. Plenty of eateries around if you walk about 10-15 mins. Like other reviewers here, there was a neighbour who was constantly drunk sitting one unit away fromthe entrance. Out of the 6 days we stayed, he was there 4 days and made us feel uneasy going back as he was constantly talking to himself till past midnight. Once he even asked us for money but left after we said we had none. It should be something you must be prepared otherwise it will freak you out especially if you are not used to seeing drunk people in your home country (it's extremely unusual for us to see drunk people).

The room is cozy and clean with all necessities esp. the kitchen. Location is in the uphill, residential area of Sliema you need a car. Covered parking is nearby, not free but cheap.

Enjoyed my stay at Bert’s apartment. The neighbourhood was great- walkable, close to the ferry to Valetta, and supermarkets. The space was clean and bright and the bed was super comfortable, wifi was great, hot water had no problems, and the host was responsive. Just a note- there are church bells in the morning (and night), which is to be expected because you are right beside a beautiful church, but they don’t last long and give the charm of being in a beautiful European city. I had a great stay !

Bert ist super zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Wir waren als Paar in der Wohnung, es ist genug Platz vorhanden. Die Wohnung hat große Fenster und ist hell. Das Schlafzimmer ist sehr groß und geräumig und hat einen großen geräumigen Kleiderschrank. Es gibt sogar eine Waschmaschine, ein Bügelbrett und ein Bügeleisen. Die Wohnküche bietet alles, was man benötigt. Als Empfang waren sogar 1 Flasche Wein und 2 kleine Flaschen Wasser im Kühlschrank. Der Balkon ist sonnig und super zum frühstücken, kann aber mit einem Rollo verdunkelt werden, sodass die Wärme etwas abgehalten wird. Die Wohnung hat 2 Klimaanlagen, diese sind auch sehr nötig, haben bestens funktioniert. Es gab einen TV, dazu kann ich nicht viel sagen, da wir diesen nicht benutzt haben. WLAN ist vorhanden. Das Haus an sich ist sehr ruhig. Es liegt genau an einer Kirche, die auch regelmäßig Tag und Nacht schlägt…uns hat es nicht gestört, auch nicht nachts. Insgesamt empfehle ich die Wohnung weiter. Ich komme wieder!

Loved our stay in Malta at Bert’s place. It was very quiet and the church bells weren’t too loud considering we were right behind the church.

Beautiful place, Bert was super helpful and responsive. The only thing to note is that the church bells go off at random times throughout the night.

A great place to stay - nice, clean, comfortable with good ammenities. Great location - particularly for those with a car as there was easy street parking (but not included private parking as advertised). Bert was an extremely helpful host with lots of great local recommendations and very responsive to our message. Overall would definitely recommend as a good base to explore beautiful Malta!

My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to stay in Bert's Sliema apartment for one week in July 2023. Throughout our stay, our host was always available to address any questions or concerns we had, and their prompt and attentive communication positively impacted our experience. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring a pleasant stay for their guests. The apartment itself was fantastic. It was clean, very sunny, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The comfortable and inviting atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The location of the apartment was also convenient, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. I highly recommend this apartment to future travelers. Superbe appartement, très bien situé!!

Berts place was very clean and orderly. Bath and kitchen were updated with newer fixtures. Bed was extremely comfortable to sleep on. It was great there was a washer to launder clothes as well. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Wspaniały apartament, pieknie urządzony, czysty, gustowny. Położony w cichej i bardzo urokliwej okolicy, przy klimatycznym kościele. Bert jest troskliwym i sympatycznym gospodarzem, odpisywał na wiadomość ekspresowo, na pytania odpowiadał wyczerpująco. Z całego serca polecam to miejsce!

슬리에마에 위치한 최고의 숙소! 테라스를 통해서 몰타 감성을 충분히 느낄 수 있었고, 거실과 침실 화장실이 구분되어 있어서 6박7일동안 너무 편하게 지냈어요!!! 식기류도 너무 깨끗해서 요리를 하기 좋았고, 세탁기도 잘 작동했어요. 침실 양옆에 콘센트가 있어서 폰 충전히기 아주 좋았고, 슬리에마 번화가에서 도보 5-10분 정도로 아주 가까움 ! 세인트 줄리언스까지도 도보로 충분히 가능 !! 넷플릭스도 가능하고, 와이파이도 잘 작동되었음. 다음 숙소 예약이 없었다면 나머지 3박도 더 머물고 싶었지만 정말 아쉬웠어요ㅠㅠ 다음에도 몰타에 오게 된다면 무조건 이곳에서 머물거에요!

I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Malta, slightly outside the hustle and bustle of Valletta. The apartment was very easily accessed, spotlessly clean and fitted with all of the essential amenities for cooking at home. The host was very responsive and also left us very informative advice for our trip!

Bert was very helpful and the housekeeping staff was extremely responsive to our needs! Any issues were immediately resolved and our stay went smoothly. The apartment is very close to the ferries, very clean and many european-type plugs are also provided. Extra tip: Make sure to try the Carmelo Micallef bakery at 2 Triq San Trofimu that’s nearby.

Die Unterkunft von Bert ist zentral gelegen und man kann alle Busse sehr gut erreichen, um die Insel zu erkunden. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber und Bert steht für alle Fragen zur Verfügung :-) Die Kommunikation mit ihm war sehr angenehm und freundlich. Der Check-in über zwei Schlüsselboxen verlief total unkompliziert, so dass es auch kein Problem war, erst am späten Abend anzureisen. Ich würde das Appartement wieder buchen, wenn ich nochmal in Malta bin.

Nice place, quiet. Promenade is 10 min walk, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Apartment has everything you need, it is clean. Bert was helpful with all our requests and was always following up to see if everything is ok. We stayed with the infant and got a baby crib provided by the host. Kitchen has basic equipment and tableware. Everything is there as described. Self check-in is offered by the host with very clear instructions. We came late in the evening and it took only 15 min by taxi from airport. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a week in the appartment in Sliema and we really enjoyed our stay. It is situated in a residential area, but just a few streets away there are a lot of shops and restaurants. It was very easy to get from there to other parts of the island, which we appreciated. Bert was very responsive with any question that we had and kept in contact constantly during our stay. The appartment itself is chic and has indeed met our needs. Thank you for having us!

I had a great stay at Bert's place in Sliema. His place looked just like the pictures, was very spacious, had lots of light and all the mentioned amenities. It was easy to communicate with Bert and he even provided a list of nearby stores for provisions and things. Just to note the building itself does not have an elevator, in case you have problems with stairs. It is a quiet neighborhood to stay in which was good if you are looking to get some quiet remote work done (wifi was great). But the apartment/location itself a good central spot to adventure out to the other areas of Malta from. His place is about an 8 min walk to the ferry that will take you to Valleta and an enjoyable 20ish minutes walk if you are headed to St. Julians (ubers are easy to call/access if you prefer - about 8 min car ride to St. Julians).

The place was clean, tidy, easily accessible and well air-conditioned. Bed was super comfy and lots of storage space for unpacking. Bert was super responsive and gave lots of information about the area, which was really helpful. If you are hiring a car, parking is a nightmare (not enough spaces, so lots of trawling the streets, and really narrow roads, expect you might get your door scratched!). Good location to explore from though. There was a really awful neighbour, who would get drunk and sit on their doorstep, and shout abuse. Another thing that was a shame was there was a coffee machine but no coffee pods, and no shower gel etc. in the bathroom, but otherwise it was great - very well equipped. Thank you!

Lovely and spacious apartment with everything you need. It is very central but in a quiet area away from the noise. Public transportation close by with access to everywhere you would want to go. Lidl 5 mins away. Enjoyed our week in Malta.

I highly recommend Bert's apartment in Sliema. You could walk to the ferry to Valleta in 10 min. Also bars and restaurants were equally walkable. Bert was a great host and made some suggestions for restaurants and activities. I found him very responsive. This is good value for the money!

We had a great stay in Bert's appartment. It is in a quiet area of Slimea but still very central. There were a few problems in the flat on arrival, but Bert took care of them immediately. Thank you! The furnishings were still relatively new when we visited. We had everything we needed.

Honestly it was the best choice to stay at Bert's place. You get the full Malta experience like this. Everthing is withing walking distance - and in a really quite place. Bert is helpfull and responds fast on msg or calls. the place is also really clean with well lit rooms and has all what you need. It is deffinetly a place i will return to.

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It had a great view of the church opposite and we loved the traditional Maltese balcony. The street is very peaceful but close to shops and restaurants and the ferry (about five minutes’ walk). Bert was quick to respond to any issues we had and solved them quickly.

This place was below my expectations. The balcony’s windows weren’t clean, so it wasn’t really what I expected when I booked this apartment — an apartment with a nice view from the balcony. Bert also didn’t send any check in instructions, so I had to look for them all over the app, as there were two different codes to the lockboxes, and when I had trouble getting into the building, Bert didn’t reply, so I had to figure it out on my own. The tile floor in the kitchen was very cold, there were no slippers and the air conditioning didn’t work in the bedroom, so it was chilly. There also wasn’t any warm blanket, the bed was made with just the bedsheet, so we had to look for a blanket in the wardrobe and were only able to find a thin throw blanket. The bed wasn’t comfortable, as it felt like there was nothing under the mattress in the middle, so if I wasn’t laying on the outer side of the bed, I felt like falling into a pit in the middle. I was quite disappointed with this apartment.

Great apartment to stay in, easy walk to the water front near Sliema ferry and lots of great food options nearby.

We had a fantastic time at Bert's place. The apartment is beautifully designed, and you feel right at home. The location could not be better, walking distance to shops, supermarkets, and nice restaurants. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay for a really enjoyable trip to Malta. Close to bus and ferry routes to the rest of the island, some lovely bars and restaurants nearby, the place is a quiet little spot 10mins from the beach.

It was just great!! Bert was very helpful when we needed. Apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed. Clean, spacious and very bright. The only thing (did not bother us, we wake up early 😁) is the church right next to the flat, so the bells might wake you up at 6:45, but at least you have more time to discover Malta ❤️😁

I stayed for only 3 days but even though it was a short stay, i truly felt at home!! the apartment is very clean, beautifully decorated and located only a few minutes away from the beach. Communication was slow at first but then very regular and reliable :) I was even able to check out a little bit later, the host tried to accomodate me however he could!

Was all Perfect. Nothing‘s missing in this flat. Location is super you can reach everything in sliema by feet. Will come again next year.

Such a quaint, tastefully decorated place! We enjoyed our stay so much we contemplated asking Bert if we could rent it long term more than once. But this way many people will get to enjoy it. :) The area is very quiet, especially considering how close to the strand it is, we were very impressed and happy. We never needed an alarm clock because every morning you get woken by the church bells at 8 o‘clock which added a very nice touch to the stay. We only heard it for sunday service so it really was no bother. Loved how close to many cool beaches, supermarkets and really everything in Sliema we were. Awesome location! The bed was new and suuuuper comfy! Overall 10/10 would recommend and definitely stay again!!!

We enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is very clean, newly renovated and decorated and includes everything you need for a pleasant stay. The communication with the hosts was very fast and uncomplicated. Any problem we encountered was solved right away. The apartment is situated in the heart of Sliema in a residential area, but very close to bus and ferry connections and the lively waterfront area. The perfect location for a stay in Malta!

The apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable inside an equally beautiful building. The location was perfect, only 6-10 minute walk to everything you would need. The only thing I would note to future stayers is that the apartment is right next to a large, and very active church. On the last night of my stay here there was a brass band actively playing until midnight, I’m not sure if it’s a common occurrence or not. I loved this apartment and would stay again!

Bert et Paulina sont très accueillants et n’hésitent pas à être arrangeants (on a pu laisser nos bagages quelques heures en plus après être parti en attendant d’aller à l’aéroport). Le air bnb est propre et nous avons tout ce qu’il faut à l’intérieur. De plus, nous sommes tout près de différents commerces et de La Valette. Je recommande !

The place is great, so clean and light. We had issue with hot water which is not really problem for the weather. The place is calm, except the church next to the window, you will hear the bell every morning :D Everything else was OK, the shop is 5 min by walk, the beach is 10min. You have all u need there for cooking and living.
