Avalon by the Sea - A Breath of Oceanfront Luxury

The Airbnb was great with absolutely amazing views of Valletta. We did a trip to Gozo and the Blue Lagoon - the meeting point was right opposite the apartment which was so convenient. I would recommend doing it early. It was so nice to have air conditioning in each room in the apartment as it was very hot while we were there. A clean apartment with plenty of space for us all. It was just a short trip over to Valletta but we also enjoyed spending time in Sliema. The host was very helpful and always very responsive, I would definitely recommend staying!

The apartment is in a perfect location with an amazing view and short walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and perfect for walks along the water front. Bus stop is 1 min walk which takes you directly to the sandy beaches in the north of the island. Sliema is a very busy area especially in summer with lots of people and noise late into the night but the apartment is up high and with the noise is barely noticeable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

One of my favorite Airbnb stays so far! You can't beat the wall to wall view of the harbor, and on top of that was a well stocked kitchen that had everything we were looking for and more, comfy beds and pillows, etc. Bert was also very responsive, helpful, and flexible with our numerous questions about check-in and check-out, which we very much appreciated!

The place was as the photos, location was great for tours on the water, restaurants, going over to Valetta etc. Also easy for bus transportation. Host were quick to answer any questions and received some nice suggestions from them. We look forward to returning

Apartment is spacious and was very clean. Ideal for a small family. Perfect location in Sliema, directly opposite promenade where there are a couple of bars and you can get the boat over to Valletta. We sat on the balcony each night looking at the beautiful lit up Valletta which you appreciate more than when you’re right next to it. 24hour convenience store underneath is perfect. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Self check in/out was also very flexible and easy to do. Would recommend to others.

The flat was nice and spacious with a wonderful view and great location, close to the ferry terminal to Valetta and next to the promenade and mini supermarket. They were happy to provide a high chair for our baby and had a cot available of needed. We received lots of very helpful recommendations about the local area.

Many thanks to the team for their service ensuring a wonderful experience for our family. The view is breathtaking while the apartment has everything you need. Lucky for us to stay here!

The stay in this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The view is even better than the pictures. There is a boat leaves every 30 min to Valletta, well worth a visit but glad we stayed in Sliema. The apartment has all commodities you could ask for, very well equipped. We could highly recommend this apartment!

Beautiful view, clean, convenient location, all the amenities and kitchen supplies we needed. Liked the additional half bath. Washer and dryer. Excellent communication.

Super Ausblick auf Valletta und die Fähre direkt vor der Tür. Große Fensterfront. Geschirrspüler war defekt als wir ankamen. Techniker kam drei Tage später und sie war immer noch defekt als wir fuhren. Also immer Essen gehen. Das Deckenbeleuchtung teilweise kaputt und nicht repariert während unseres Aufenthalts genauso die Nachttischlampe im kleinen Zimmer. Dusche mit sehr wenig Druck.

The apartment was fantastic — spacious, modern, and spotless, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its location by the sea was perfect, offering beautiful views and easy access to the promenade. We truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and would gladly stay here again!

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Malta. The apartment is spacious and stylish, and the huge kitchen/living room leads out onto a sunny, south-facing balcony with the most stunning views of the harbour and Valletta. The location is perfect, just opposite the Sliema Ferry and several bus stops including the airport bus and the hop-on-hop-off sight-seeing buses. Boat trips around the harbour and to Gozo/Comino all leave opposite too. The apartment is located on The Strand in Sliema which has a huge selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance, and there is a well-stocked 24/7 mini supermarket just next door. Bert is a great host. He’s always available to answer any questions, and sends detailed instructions for check-in, information about the apartment and local area, and suggestions for dining out, etc. This holiday home gives you style, comfort, great views and the perfect base for exploring Valletta and the rest of Malta.

L'appartamento è come da foto, eccellente e dotato di tutti i confort La posizione è centrale per spostarsi o per fare shopping. Tutto a portata di mano La zona è tranquilla e sicura Lo staff è stato sempre presente La biancheria dei letti era molto usata Una location così merita cura anche in questi dettagli. Nonostante il supporto dello staff non siamo riusciti ad accedere la TV nella stanza da letto. Il telecomando della TV del living funziona male.

Perfekt boende för en familj med 2 vuxna och två tonåringar. Fanns allt vi behövde för en bekväm vecka. Välutrustat kök, två toaletter. Fanns både diskmaskin och tvättmaskin. Fantastisk utsikt. Närhet till Valletta med färjan och flera båtutflykter från hamnen precis utanför dörren. Svag stråle i duschen, svårt att tvätta håret ordentligt om du har tjockt hår 😉. Hårda sängar. Saknades bäddmadrasser.

View is really incredible. Welcome pack of food, water & spritz was really appreciated after a long journey. Aircon was good, we visited during 37 deg C days. Cupboard stocked with oil, spices etc saved us buying basics to prepare food- this small thing makes a big difference. Batteries in remote controls were mostly low, hard to use tv and aircon in one room. The blankets over the sofa's prevented us from relaxing as we just slid off. Nice idea but not practical. A few chairs/ sun loungers on rear patio would be nice as its a good size. Hob was so confusing to use.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Aussicht auf Valletta vom Balkon und Wohnzimmer ist traumhaft. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen, mitten in Sliema und nah bei Cafés und Restaurants und nur wenige Meter bis zur Fähre nach Valletta. Die Kommunikation verlief super, wir erhielten viele Tipps zur Umgebung. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt :)

Great location. Key needs to be turned a few times to the left. It was tricky for us to figure out. Everything was clean and view is exceptional. Definitely would stay here again.

Très bon séjour dans ce bel appartement, bien équipé et bien placé pour profiter de toutes les activités et belles visites de l'île. Magnifique vue depuis le grand balcon, possibilité de se garer facilement tout près de l'appartement ou tout à côté des arrêts bus ou des départs de bateaux. 7 jours n'ont pas suffis à tout voir, nous devrons donc revenir, c'est sûr :)!

The location was within easy walking distance for the ferries, tours, public transport, restaurants, and everyday essentials. We would be love to stay here again on a future trip to Malta. It is difficult to over state how fantastic the view from Bert’s apartment is, with the harbour in the foreground and Valletta behind, it is wonderful day and night with something always to look at. The apartment is stylish, very comfortable and in a great very convenient location with the ferry to Valletta, great restaurants and shops all at hand. A perfect holiday base.

Lovely spacious apartment with incredible picture postcard view of Valletta from the 8th floor balcony - the gorgeous vista opens up as you walk into the kitchen / living area each morning. We were able to check in early (12pm) and received several detailed emails about the apartment and amenities. Whilst in a lively area, with doors shut it was really quiet inside at night. Bus stops and ferry to Valletta are within 100 metres, opening up all of Malta via the excellent (though quite busy) public transport. Several good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We had a great time.

The apartment & view are exactly as they look in the photos - beautiful & tons of space. The location is also extremely convenient.

Great clean space. 1 and ½ bathrooms. In the middle of the youth action. Street parking on the road somehow behind the building, but manageable. Beautiful view. Ferries across the street. We have found best pizza and Turkish place on the street. The communication was extraordinary.. Thank you!

Location was perfect and the view is breathtaking. I cannot get tired watching VAlletta during day and night. All the shops and restaurants are nearby but most of all the ferries are just across the street. Bert, as the host, is very attentive and friendly. I will definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great central location with incredible views of Valletta, photos online really don’t do it justice! Bert was a great host from start to finish providing detailed notes before and during our trip about the property and the area. He was really responsive too when we had any questions. Can’t recommend this one highly enough.

Beautiful apartment for our stay in Malta. Great location for Valetta (ferry just across the road) The mini market and busy bee cafe are just downstairs and great for stocking up on water, snacks etc. Bert answered any queries we had quickly. We would definitely recommend and stay here again if visiting Malta.

Amazing view, the airbnb is located in a perfect spot. I would recommend you stay in Sliema over the other spots in Malta due to its closeness to everywhere and its affordability. The airbnb was spotless, it was nice having our own kitchen to prepare breakfast/meals. Overall we had a decent experience and Bert resolved any issues in a timely manner. Will definitely book with him the next time I’m in Malta again:)

The place was great and you cannot beat the views. My only small negatives, and the owner may not be aware, but there was only one wine glass and essentially no cooking utensils. Minor issues, but overall a great apartment in a good area.

Bert, was a awesome host. He was great with communication with lots of great information about things to do in the area. His place was a perfect place to stay with everything we needed within walking distance, close to the hop on hop off bus and the ferries. Top notch host and AirBB with terrific views.

It was just amazing airbnb! I would say Bert's house was the best airbnb that I've ever been. All eqquiped very well, there was even ice cube maker in refrigerator! The one thing that I thought it may need improvement is the door of shower booth. It didn't close fully so water could leak out. Anyway, besides that, everything was perfect including location. It located just in front of guided tour boat area so we could take boat with 1 min walk. Very convinent :) Bert helped us also warmly.

Definitely 1 of the best Airbnb apartments I have stayed. Great host, great room, amazing views… was just perfect for me!

Sensational apartment in a wonderful location for first time in Malta

By far the best airbnb I’ve stayed at this year, I couldn’t imagine a better location or a better view. The host is super responsive and made every effort to make the stay comfortable. Would 100% recommend.

The location is ideal (close to shops and restaurants) and access to all forms of transportation (public bus, ferry to Valletta, tour boats) is steps away. The flat has a fantastic view of the Sliema harbour, Manoel Island, and the city of Valletta across the bay! Bert was helpful and quickly responded to rectify any problems or concerns we had with the apartment.

The apartment exceeded our expectations, and the pictures simply don't do it justice! Arriving after a long day of travel, the highlight of our day was stepping into this stunning apartment hosted by Bert. Words cannot capture the breathtaking view of the harbor and the spectacular fireworks that we were fortunate enough to see during our stay. The apartment's location offers convenient access to the ferry and bus services. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, a mini-market next to the apartment and a few doors down is Busy Bee Bakery where we enjoyed breakfast and sweets. The apartment is very well maintained and equipped with amenities one could ask for while on vacation. Bert was highly responsive and provided us with many recommendations prior to our arrival. If you plan on renting a vehicle, it's important to note that parking is available on public streets rather than in a private lot. I highly recommend this apartment if visiting Sliema.

Amazing location for boat trips, the ferry to Valletta and restaurants in the evening. The view from the balcony was stunning! The rooms were clean and the beds very comfy. Our only small remark would be that the shower pressure is not very strong, especially for when you're washing the sea and sand out your hair. Other than that, this apartment was perfect for us in every way.

Bert's place was great and highly recommend to anyone visiting Sliema. The view is incredible and easy to get anywhere on the island. Bert helped coordinate excursions and recommended various restaurants to us. He is quick to respond to any questions. There's also a great cafe for morning coffee two doors over from this apt. Would stay here again the next time I'm in Malta.

Fantastic stay! Bert's place was a great place to explore Malta with multiple transport options right outside the front door. The apartment was super clean and tidy. Views were spectacular so was awesome for breakfast and before dinner drinks to look at the harbour. There were a few rocky beaches less than 10mins walk which we took advantage of on the hot afternoons. I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay in Sliema was fantastic. I highly recommend Bert's hospitality - the apartment was easy to find, clean and tidy, and had the most incredible view. The balcony was perfect for a glass of wine and a view of the fireworks.

Lovely well equipped, clean apartment. Check in really easy. Location is great and a good base for trips out. The local buses, ferry to Valletta and commercial boat excursions are all within 100 metres, including the bus from/to the airport. Plenty of good value local restaurants to choose from and Dave's mini market next door if you want to eat in. Busy Bee Bakery a few doors down is also worth a visit if you like ice cream or cake. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony after a day out watching the boats and people coming and going. The flat is in a very lively area but the balcony doors keep out the noise when shut and the bedrooms are at the back and very quiet.

Bert was a terrific host - very responsive and helpful. We foolishly locked ourselves out one day and when I sent Bert a message about that he rang within about 15 minutes. He dealt with the locksmith promptly as we went about our day in Malta, and by mid-afternoon all was resolved. He was also extremely responsive to all the pre-visit e-mails we sent, and provided a number of useful recommendations re: things near the flat (I.e. chemist, grocery store, ATM, etc.). And the flat was exactly what we expected from the listing, which is not always the case! Overall I can definitely recommend this property and Bert as a host (I also highly recommend Malta as a destination).

Very central - couldn’t be easier to get ferries and buses to other parts of Malta and Gozo. Vert was great at communicating before and during our stay. The location is amazing.

La ubicación es excelente, frente al mar con una gran cristalera que aporta mucha luz al salón, cocina y comedor. La comunicación con Bert fue siempre muy buena y respondía rápido, aportando soluciones a las situaciones que le planteamos. El apartamento se encuentra en la planta 8 del edificio y no hay vecinos en la misma planta, por lo tanto es muy tranquilo y silencioso. Sin duda, recomendaría este apartamento.

I have just spent a few days in Bert's apartment. It has the best location in Sliema. The ferry to Valletta and the buss stop to the airport are just across the street. There are lots of restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shops nearby. Also there are 2 large shopping centers at walking distance. The apartment is as described, with everything you need. And there is that view ....wow, the view is just incredible. I highly recommend this location!

Very nice staying. Great location, near to ferries. (1 min walk) Very very nice view !!! Great kichen with all you need even to cook. Maybe new bed sheets for a perfect stay. In the evening a little cold, but the AC is working. Overall, the view compensates 😇 We recommanded.
